Principle introduction

Principle of radio technology
Radio refers to electromagnetic waves transmitted in free space (including air and vacuum), while radio technology is a technology that transmits signals through radio waves. The principle of radio technology is based on electromagnetic wave theory, that is, the change of current intensity in conductor will produce radio waves. Using this phenomenon, information can be loaded on radio waves through modulation. When the radio wave propagates through space to the receiving end, the electromagnetic field changes caused by the radio wave will generate electric current in the conductor. The purpose of information transmission is achieved by extracting information from current changes through demodulation.

Radio frequency
Radio waves contain rapidly vibrating magnetic fields. The speed of vibration is the frequency of the wave, in hertz (Hz). 1Hz equals vibration per second. One kHz equals 1000Hz. Different frequency bands are used to transmit different kinds of information.

Radio frequency band
Radio is divided:
Long Wave: wavelength> 1000 meters, frequency rate below 300kHz;
Medium wave: wavelength 100 M ~ 1000 m, frequency rate 300kHz ~ 3000kHz;
Short wave: wavelength 100 M ~ 10 m, frequency rate 3MHz ~ 30MHz;
Ultra-short wave: wavelength 1 M ~ 10 m, frequency rate 30MHz ~ 300MHz, also known as very high frequency (VHF) wave and meter wave;
Microwave: wavelength 1 M ~ 0.1mm, frequency rate 300MHz ~ 3THz.
