Frequency band
Common frequency band
GSM frequency band (frequency range) is the frequency of cellular wireless communication system designated by the International Telecommunication Union for GSM mobile phones.
P-GSM, basic quasi-GSM-900 band
E-GSM, expanding the GSM-900 frequency band (including the base quasi GSM-900 frequency band)
R-GSM, railway GSM-900 frequency band (including reference and extended GSM-900 frequency band)
T-GSM, cluster wireless system-GSM

GSM-900, GSM-1800 and EGSM/EGSM-900
China mainly uses GSM-800, GSM-900 and GSM-1800 frequency bands.
GSM-900 and GSM-1800 are used in most regions of the World: Europe, Middle East, Africa, Oceania and most regions of Asia. Used in the following countries in South and Central America:
Paraguay-GSM-1800 and GSM-1900
Peru-GSM-1900
Costa Rica-GSM-1800
Brazil-GSM-850,900,1800 and 1900
Guatemala-GSM-850,GSM-900 and 1900
El Salvador-GSM-850,GSM-900 and 1900
Venezuela-GSM-850,GSM-900 and 1900
GSM-900 use the slave device to send information to the base station (uplink), use the slave device to receive information (downlink), which provides 124 wireless channels (channel numbers 1-124), each channel occupies 200kHz. The duplex interval is 45MHz. The protection bandwidth of 100kHz is placed at both ends of the frequency band.
GSM-1800 use 1710-1785MHz to send information from the mobile station to the base station (uplink), use 1805-1880MHz to receive information (downlink), which provides 374 channels (channel number 512-885). The duplex interval is 95MHz. GSM-1800 is also called DCS (digital mobile phone service) in Britain, while it is called PCS in Hong Kong-to avoid confusion, GSM-1900 is called PCS in other parts of the world. MCA uses gsm1800.
GSM-850 and GSM-1900
GSM-850 and GSM-1900 are used in Argentina, Brazil, Canada, the United States and many other countries in America.
