In fact, the PTZ is an installation platform composed of two AC motor or DC motors, which can move horizontally and vertically. However, it should be noted that the pan-head we mentioned is different from the pan-head in photographic equipment. Internal structure
There are two motors inside the omni-directional pan-tilt, which are responsible for the up-down and left-right rotation of the pan-tilt respectively. The difference of its working voltage also determines the overall working voltage of the pan-tilt, generally including 24V AC, 220V AC and 12V DC. When the up and down action voltage is received, the vertical motor rotates, and the vertical drive is driven by reduction gearbox; When the left and right action voltage is received, the horizontal motor rotates and drives the horizontal tooth reduction gearbox at the bottom of the pan head to rotate through the roulette wheel.
It should be noted that the PTZ has horizontal and vertical limit bolts, and the PTZ has two micro switches to realize the limit function respectively. When the rotation angle reaches the preset limit Bolt, the micro switch operates to cut off the power supply and the pan-tilt stops rotating. The limiting device can be located outside the pan-tilt, and the adjustment process is simple. It can also be located inside the pan-tilt, and the adjustment process is relatively complicated through the adjustment mechanism of peripheral devices. However, the sealing performance of the external limiting device is not as good as that of the built-in limiting device.
Outdoor pan-and-tilt is generally the same as the indoor PTZ, but because the weight of outdoor protective cover is relatively large, the load capacity of the PTZ must plus-sized. At the same time, the cold and hot changes of the outdoor environment are large, and they are easily eroded by rain or humidity. Therefore, outdoor pan-and-tilt is generally designed to be sealed and rainproof. In addition, outdoor pan-and-tilt also has high torque and choke protection circuit to prevent the motor from being burned when the pan head is frozen. Under the harsh conditions of low temperature, a temperature-controlled heater can also be installed inside the PTZ.
